Heartwielder is my final university project for year 3 BA Hons Illustration at Norwich University of the Arts. Heartwielder is a dark fantasy comic series following a runaway nun and an amnesiac adventuring across a sick and dying land in pursuit of an evil vampire. Currently, the project only consists of concept art but I plan it to be 4 issues long.

My influences for this project include 80s dark fantasy films (such as The Dark Crystal, Legend and Army of Darkness), fantasy comic books (like The Sandman) as well as Games like Dungeons and Dragons and Castlevania. As dark fantasy is one of my favourite genres of all time I wanted to fully explore fantasy world building and visual narrative as my final project.
